The London Mayor election may not be until 5th May, but the deadline to register to vote is just around the corner! So get your skates on and make sure you register to vote before this Monday, 18th April!
Why Should I Register?
If you aren’t registered you can’t vote - it is as simple as that! We all disagree with politicians from time to time, and voting for the next Mayor is the only way you’ll be able to have a say over issues that affect your everyday life, from music venues to bus fares!
I’m Not Sure Whether I’m Already Registered…
Not sure if you are registered already? Last year 329,000 people fell off the electoral register due to changes in the voter registration system, meaning that you may no longer be able to vote without even knowing it! If you are registered, you should have already received a polling card in the post.
How Do I Register?
If you know you aren’t registered or haven’t received a polling card yet, don’t miss out on the opportunity to have your say in shaping the future of London. Registering to vote is easy – the only thing you need is your National Insurance number! Follow these simple steps and ensure you don’t get frozen out!
